1. I had both my babies with midwives, and the second at home.
2. My first daughter's placenta is buried under a peach tree, and my second's under a fig.
3. I have an MFA in dance but am lazy about using it.
4. I love lemon verbena.
5. I lived in Holland for 3.5 years of high school.
6. I adore the smell of clementines in winter, when you open them and the juice squirts out.
7. I am overcoming my addiction to coffee.
8. I am jealous of my sister's sense of style.
9. I have always wanted to swim with a whale shark.
10. My hubby and I met at a Quaker camp in Maine, and were married there.
11. My oldest daughter didn't sleep through the night until she was 2.
12. I used to be a lifeguard trainer, and trained Tim the summer we met.
13. I used to teach dance at an all girls prep school in Greenwich CT.
14. I am obsessed with any plant that has blue flowers. (borage, morning glory, blue hibiscus)
15. I used to have a bellybutton ring.
16. I have always wanted to go to Fiji, to a resort where peacocks stroll the lawns.
17. My husband and I love Dr. Who.
18. When I was in college Melissa and I performed a dance buck naked, illuminated by two candles that we held.
19. I cannot resist the dollar aisle at Target.
20. Laurel had a pleural effusion when I was pregnant with her, and we didn't know if she would be able to breathe when she was born.
21. I once found a baby owl on my lawn.
22. I love Barack Obama.
23. I would have twenty more chickens if Tim would let me.
